Overview
The Radix MDM includes a Commands History Log, which allows you to inspect the results of the commands you send to the remote devices. You can inspect commands sent to individual devices or groups of devices to see if everything went smoothly. You can view the status of individual commands or a series of triggered commands. Also, you may want to manage the ongoing commands sent to your devices. The Radix MDM Commands History Log will help you do this.
Location of the Commands History Log
To enter the Commands History Log:
1. On the left side of the Overview Dashboard, click on the Commands History icon.

The Commands History Log opens.
2. You can sort and search results by any column. For example, by clicking on the arrow at the top of the Creation Time column, we can sort the results by date. By clicking on the arrow, we can toggle between the most recent on top and the oldest on top.

3. Clicking on any line (Command) displays more in-depth information about the command. In the example below, the command to send a message was delivered successfully to all devices (in this case, there was only one device).

Example of the Command Status Display
1. In the example below, the Radix MDM successfully delivered the command to install the LinkedIn app on 2 out of 4 devices.
2. Clicking on the More Info option of a failed command in the Commands History Log displays the reason why the command failed to execute. In this case, the reason was that the particular device does not support Android App Bundles.

3. Clicking on the three-dots menu on the far right of the command entry will give you more command options. The options include stopping, starting, editing, resending, or deleting a command.

Note! The “Resend Command to Failed Devices” option is particularly useful. It can save you time by helping you diagnose and correct problems with remote devices. In the example below, we chose the option to resend an Advanced Message command to a group of devices that didn’t receive the message the first time.

The Search Option in the Commands History Log
The Search bar at the top of the Commands History Log allows you to search by four parameters:

- - Description allows you to search by the command description (as displayed in the “Description” column). In the example below, we searched for the message string “what’s up?”, and the search results gave us every command that contains that message string.

- - Device ID allows you to display commands issued to a specific device, filtered by the Device ID. The search is case-sensitive. Therefore, if the Device ID is “HA195F3Y”, if you enter “ha195f3y”, it will not give the correct results for Device HA195F3Y.

- - Command Type allows you to sort out the commands by means of a drop-down alphabetical list of commands.

- - Trigger Name allows you to sort out Schedule & Trigger commands by the trigger command that they employ. In the example below, we sort by the timing trigger.

There are four trigger options in the Schedule & Trigger command:

- - Timing: To execute a scheduled command at a specific time
- - Geofencing: To execute a command within a specific geographical area
- - Wi-Fi: Toexecute a command when a device either enters or leaves a particular Wi-Fi network
- - Startup: To execute a command when a device starts up
You can search through the Commands History Log by any of these four trigger options.
