If a device is already enrolled in the Radix system (by means of the methods of enrolling Android, Windows, or Chromebook devices), it is simple to include the device in your fleet of devices. This is done by assigning the same tag that is associated with the administrator running the fleet to the specific device.
To add a device to your fleet:
1. First, find which tags are associated with the user account. Click on the User Account tab in the lower left corner.
2. Click on Users in the menu to open the Users Management Menu.
3. In the search bar, find the user to whom you wish to assign tags.
4. Click on the row of the user, to open the User Profile window.
5. In the Add tag textbox, enter the name of a distinguishing tag, and press Enter. In our example above, we entered the tag “rbp”.
6. Click Update to close the User Profile window. The user will have the tag “rbp” displayed.
7. The user of that account will only have control of devices with the identifying tag “rbp”. If no devices have that identifying tag, then the user will see no devices enrolled in the Radix Device Management Platform.
The user presently has no devices in their fleet with the proper tag
The user of the remote device can now enroll their device in the Radix Device Management Platform account by applying the same tag to their device.
To apply tags to remote devices:
1. Open the Viso Agent on the remote device by clicking on the Viso Agent app icon.
Viso Agent App icon on remote device
2. At present, you will notice that there are no tags associated with this device.
3. Click on the three-dot menu in the upper right corner and select Config server.
The Connection Info window opens:
4. Click Next. The Tags window opens.
5. Enter the tag “rbp”, and tap Enter.
Important: Also click the checkbox, so that the changes entered on the remote device will take precedence over the changes over any changes that are entered by the administrator in the Radix Device Management Platform.
The tag “rbp” is now associated with this Lenovo Tablet.
6. Click Next to go to the Password Info screen.
7. If we don’t want to assign a password to the remote device, we can leave the password options blank and click Next.
8. Click the I agree box in the EULA screen and click Next.
9. Review the information in the final screen and click Finish if all is in order. If not, click on Previous to go back to the previous screens.
The tag is saved on the remote device.
If the Radix Device Management Platform user refreshes their screen, the remote device will now appear in their fleet of devices.
The device is now in the user's fleet, with the appropriate tag "rbp"
