Enrolling a device is the first step in bringing it under centralized management in Radix. Once enrolled, the device can receive configurations, applications, commands, and updates according to your organizational policies.
In this guide, we will demonstrate how to enroll an Android device. (Radix also supports device enrollment for Windows and ChromeOS.)
Preliminary Steps to Access the Android Installation Package
1. Log in to the Radix Device Management Platform with your account details.
.
2. In the Device Dashboard, you will see that there are no devices currently enrolled in the account.
3. Click on Devices in the sidebar menu to open the Devices Table.

For this example, select Download the Android Agent. This option downloads the Viso Agent application, which can then be installed directly on the device.
This method does not require a factory reset.
Step 1: Downloading the apk file – in the remote device
There are three options for accessing the apk file:

You will be prompted to grant permissions to the Viso Agent app. These permissions are required to ensure full functionality of the Radix Device Management Platform.
Without granting the necessary permissions, certain features may not function properly. For example, if permission to display over other apps is not enabled, popup notifications cannot be shown on the device.
Step 3: Installing the SCManager file
You will now be prompted as to whether you want to install the SCManager system service file. Without SCManager, certain advanced management features may be limited.
1. Download and install this file.
2. After installing the appropriate SCManager and allowing the Viso Agent app access to the necessary information, you should see the Viso Agent app.
Step 4: Verify Enrollment
1. If you go back to the Devices Table, you will see that the Android device has been added.
The device should appear within 30 seconds of enrollment. If it is not visible, refresh the page and verify again.
