Enrolling a device is the first step in bringing it under centralized management in Radix. Once enrolled, the device can receive configurations, applications, commands, and updates according to your organizational policies.
In this guide, we will demonstrate how to enroll a Windows device by downloading the Windows executable file version of the Viso Agent application. (Radix also supports device enrollment for Android and ChromeOS.)
Enrolling a Windows Device
Part 1: Downloading the Windows Agent (Admin Console)
1. Log in to the Radix Device Management Platform.

2. From the sidebar menu, select Devices.
3. Click Enroll a New Device (at the middle of the Devices Table) or Add Device (in the top right corner).
4. In the Enroll window, select Windows.
5. Click Download the Windows Agent. The Viso Agent executable file will be downloaded to your computer.
Part 2: Installing the Agent on the Windows Device (Managed Device)
1. Transfer the downloaded installer file to the target Windows device (for example, via USB drive or a network transfer).
2. On the Windows device, run the executable file and install the Viso Agent.
3. Open the Viso Agent Wizard from the Start menu.
4. Click on Viso Agent Wizard and run the file.
5. If you click on Viso Agent ID in the Start menu, you will receive the Device ID as it will appear in the Radix Device Management platform.
6. Enter the Domain Name and MDM Server Address as displayed in the Enroll window in the Radix platform.
7. Click Next and complete the setup steps (assign tags if needed, optionally set a password, and confirm account details).
8. Click Next. You will be prompted if you wish to add a password. If you choose to add a password, you will need it if you plan to enter the Viso Agent on your Windows device.
9. Click Next. You will be prompted to review your account information.
10. Click Next. You will receive confirmation that you have successfully registered your Windows device.
11. After completing the wizard, the device will register with your Radix account.
Finalizing Enrollment
1. Return to the Devices Table in the Radix platform to confirm that the Windows device has been added.
- The label for the device will be as displayed in the Review screen: DESKTOP-458UMFB.
- The Device ID will be what we saw when we clicked on Viso Agent ID in the Start menu.
2. If a warning appears regarding an Invalid Authentication Token, click the icon and select Reset Auth Token to complete enrollment.
3. Click on the Invalid Authentication Token icon to correct this.

4. Click Reset Auth Token. The device now will be properly enrolled.
