Overview
An Ad Hoc Session allows you to remotely access and manage a device without enrolling it in your account.
This is useful for temporary support scenarios, enabling administrators to connect to devices across different accounts or domains.
The session can be terminated at any time by either the administrator or the device user.
Starting an Ad Hoc Session
On the Device (User Side)
1. Open the Viso Agent app.
2. Open the three-dot menu and select Start Ad Hoc Session.
3. Share the displayed 9-digit session token with the administrator.
On the Platform (Administrator Side)
1. Open the Devices Table.
2. Click the Ad Hoc Session icon.
3. Enter the session token and click Start.
Once connected, the device will temporarily appear in your Devices Table, allowing you to manage it like any other device (e.g., remote control, commands, app management).
Ending an Ad Hoc Session
An ad hoc session can be ended by either side.
By the Administrator
1. Open the Device Dashboard from the Devices Table.
2. Click Stop Session.
By the Device User
1. Open the Viso Agent app.
2. Open the Ad Hoc Session screen.
3. Close the session (X icon).
Once the session ends, the device is removed from the Devices Table.
